She is inspired by the Devon land, sea and rivers, sometimes working plein air, or sketching and taking photographs to paint in her studio. Her focus is expressive skies and bodies of water, capturing the silvery light and reflections to capture specific moments of the day and the ever-changing light and colours of the landscape.
Wendy was born in Warwickshire in 1972 and moved to Devon in 2005. She completed her BA Honours Degree in Graphic Design at Brighton School of Art, subsequently working as a designer for retailers including the Body Shop, Marks and Spencer and Topshop. For 15 years she ran a successful online gifting company called Letterfest, specialising in art, illustrations and children’s books made to order. She is a member of Topsham and Exmouth Art Groups.
